Animal Licences

From the 1st October 2018, the law changed with regards to the licensing of animal boarding businesses (including home boarders and day carers), dog breeders, pet shops, riding establishments and performing animals. These activities will be covered under a single type of licence from that date with new nationally-set licence conditions for businesses providing animal-related services. Those businesses operating under current licences will be able to continue to do so until the expiry date of their licence, with the exception of performing animals licences which need to be renewed by March 2019. All applications to renew licences from the 1st October will be under the new legislation.
