If you're moving to a new property we will need the following information.

We will aim to send you your council tax bill within 10 working days of receiving the information.

the date you bought your property or started your tenancy there

the date you are moving in

the full names of anyone living in the property aged 18 or over

if you are the owner, we may ask for the name and address of your solicitors, and the forwarding address of the previous owner

if you are the tenant, we will need to know the name and address of your landlord

Your contact telephone number and email address

If you're moving out of a property we will need the following information.

By providing your new address we can make sure any further correspondence is sent to the right place. Providing us with this information will also help make life simpler for the incoming resident.

the date you are moving out

the date you sold your property or the tenancy agreement ceased

the full postal address and postcode of your new property

if you were a tenant, we will need to know the name and address of your landlord

if you are the owner, we may ask for the name and address of your solicitors, and the name of the new owner

Below is a step by step guide on how to report a change of address online. Please make sure you read the moving in or moving out information above so that you have all the right documents to hand before you start.

Step 1: Click Report a Change of Address

Step 2: Select 'Sign in/Register'. Enter your Username and Password if you have one or you can click 'Register Now' if you have not yet created an account.

Step 3: Check your details are correct, if not select the 'Moving House' button.

Step 4: Add in your new address and any other details.

Step 5: Click 'Next' to save.

If you are not a Self-Service user and would like to notify of a change of address without registering, you can do this by filling out and submitting your information on the 'Report a Change of Address' page.
