Friendly dance festival for over 50s on Monday

Short and friendly taster classes in ballroom, line dancing, Zumba and tango will be on offer at a free dance festival for anyone aged 50-plus and you don't need to own a pair of dancing shoes.

Ideal for people who haven't been active recently but would like to make the first move, the lively day of tasters, organised by East Herts Council, will be led by supportive coaches in a welcoming atmosphere.

Also on the programme, part of Forever Active East Herts, are Bollywood, flamenco, ballet and paradance - an inclusive dance ideal for people in a wheelchair, seated or with a disability.

Eric Buckmaster, executive member for health and housing, said: "There's a great choice of dance on offer at this festival, no matter how inactive you've been recently or how bad you think your coordination is! So come along, give it a try and have fun."

The festival is on Monday November 19 from 10.30am-2.30pm at Rhodes Arts Complex, Bishop's Stortford. For further information or to book call Kirsty on 07710 095245 or email kirsty.feasey@activeeastherts.org.uk
