New community grants pot opens

Are you trying to raise money for services that benefit residents in your area?

If so, East Herts Council can help.   We have £125,000 up for grabs this year to support not-for-profit organisations, sports clubs, charities and voluntary/community organisations.

Successful projects will focus on the council's priorities, including:

  • Healthy living, specifically obesity, diabetes prevention and support, mental health, promotion of physical activity and other long-term health conditions
  • Projects to support people living on low incomes
  • Improvements to well-loved community buildings and green spaces contributing to health and wellbeing
  • Cultural opportunities for vulnerable children and young people.

The deadline for applications is 5pm on April 29. To apply or find out more about how you could successfully apply for up to £3,000 to deliver a long-term project or up to £8,000 for a building improvement project, visit
