Free summer events in East Herts parks

Celebrate Love Parks Week this summer with two free afternoons in Bishop's Stortford and Sawbridgeworth.

At East Herts Council's Southern Country Park in Bishop's Stortford you can try out orienteering and join in with craft making. These free activities will be available to try on Tuesday July 30 from noon-3pm.

At Pishiobury Park in Sawbridgeworth you can meet the friendly Longhorn cattle and take part in a bug hunt on Thursday August 1 from noon-3pm.

Both parks will be hosting an ice cream van and we encourage families to bring along a picnic. Visitors will also have the opportunity to meet local police, first aiders and fire fighters.

Eric Buckmaster, executive member for wellbeing, East Herts Council, said: "There's something for everyone at these popular free afternoons in our lovely parks. So I would encourage everyone to pack a picnic and bring the family for lots of fun and activities."
