Celebrate our diverse communities

Drop in to our celebration of the different groups that live in East Herts at the second East Herts diversity afternoon.

Organised by East Herts Council chairman Jonathan Kaye, the free event offers music, performances and a chance to chat to people from a variety of faiths and other groups as well as activities for children.

It's at Rhodes Arts Complex on Sunday September 15 from 12noon-4pm.

There will be representatives from Judaism, Islam, Tibetan Buddhism, Hinduism, Sikhism, Christianity and the Baha'i faith.

Look out for short performances from community groups including people with disabilities. Hertfordshire Constabulary will also be present to discuss how they try to combat hate crime.

Councillor Kaye said: "Pop in for an hour or so, taste some cultural food and see artefacts from a variety of religious communities. You can find out more about diverse communities in East Herts and then have some further refreshment in the cafe.

"This is the second event from the Living Together in East Herts group. I'm delighted that we've been able to build on our first event in Ware last November with more groups and activities for visitors to enjoy."
