A 5-year management plan for Foxholes woodland in Hertford has been created with the assistance of the Countryside Management Service (CMS).
Local residents were consulted on our proposals on how to look after the woodland and using the feedback we received the Foxholes Woodland Management Plan 2012 - 2017 [2MB] was created.
As part of the management plan a new circular walking route has been created making access around the woodland easier for visitors. The all-weather route passes through a variety of habitats from grassland to woodland carpeted with bluebells in the spring. For more information and a map of the woodland walk see the Foxholes Woodland Walk leaflet [4MB] .
This project was made possible with funding from the Forestry Commission through the English Woodland Grant Scheme funded by Defra under the Rural Development Programme for England.
