East Herts Lottery Fundraising
Tickets cost £1 and 50p of the ticket price goes to the local good cause chosen by the ticket purchaser on the East Herts Lottery website. Supporters get to donate funds to causes dear to their hearts and invest in their local community at the same time as being in with a chance of winning up to £25,000!
Not for profit organisations based in or providing a service to residents in East Herts, which includes the towns of Hertford, Ware, Buntingford, Sawbridgeworth and Bishop’s Stortford and the villages in between, can sign up for free to raise funds through the East Herts Lottery. Good causes also receive free marketing materials to help them promote the Lottery to their supporters. Signing up as a good cause takes only 10 minutes. You will need details of your organisation’s bank account, a logo if you have one, and a brief description about what you do for residents in East Herts. Examples of potential funds you can raise:
- 20 tickets per week sold on your page = £520 annually (20 x annually 0.50p x 52)
- 50 tickets per week sold on your page = £1,300 annually (50 X 0.50p x 52)
One good cause is predicted to raise £3,016 by the end of the year! An extra 10p from each lottery ticket goes to the East Herts Council’s Community Fund which will be distributed via the Council’s discretionary community grants programme.
