Elections 2025
Hertfordshire County Council elections will take place on Thursday 1 May 2025. There are ten divisions in East Herts represented by a County Councillor. You can find out your current County Councillors here.

Register to vote or check if you are registered. The deadline to register to vote is Friday 11 April 2025.
Voting by post - the deadline for receiving new postal vote applications is 5pm on Monday 14 April 2025. For more information and to apply for a proxy vote visit: Apply for a proxy vote - GOV.UK.
You are required to show photographic ID in order to vote at a polling station for this election. The list of accepted ID can be found here: How to vote: Photo ID you'll need - GOV.UK. If you do not have any of the ID listed, you can apply for a free Voter Authority Certificate by 5pm on Wednesday 23 April 2025. Voting by emergency proxy - the deadline for receiving new emergency proxy vote applications is 5pm on Thursday 1 May 2025. You can apply if:

- Your photo ID is lost, stolen, destroyed or damaged, and the deadline to apply for a Voter Authority Certificate has passed,(opens in new window)
