Registration

If you voted in and/or had a poll card for the Police and Crime Commissioner election on 2 May 2024 and are a UK or Irish Citizen, a Citizen of a Commonwealth Country, are over 18 and have not moved house since you received that poll card then you will mostly likely be registered to vote. There is no need to re-register ahead of the Parliamentary election on 4 July 2024.

If you do not receive a poll card, you may need to re-register. The deadline to register for the parliamentary election is Tuesday 18 June 2024. You can register to vote online here: Register to vote - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)

  • Voting by post - the deadline for receiving new postal vote applications is 5pm on Wednesday 19 June 2024 (to be effective for this election).
  • Voting by proxy - the deadline for receiving new proxy vote applications is 5pm on Wednesday 26 June 2024 (to be effective for this election).

Polling cards

Poll cards will be delivered to all registered electors prior to the elections.  The poll card design has changed this year. The poll card will tell you where your polling station will be if you vote in person. It will also include a list of acceptable forms of photographic ID.
