Planning Agents’ Forum

The Planning Agents’ Forum is for the Council to hear issues raised by planning agents as important customers. It is part of our commitment to be a Listening Council and aims to improve processing planning applications for agents to be able to discuss emerging topics and procedures with the Planning and Building Control Service.

Purpose of the Planning Agents’ Forum

These are a chance for planning Agents as regular customers of the Council to share their views of how we work and for the Council to share topics and projects emerging within the Planning Service, primarily Development Management.

The Forum will run under Terms of Reference and will have a membership of agents who submit a certain number of applications in a year, Officers and Members may attend as observers. Whilst it is not a public meeting, agendas, presentation materials and notes of meetings will be published on this webpage.

The meeting will not discuss individual planning applications and has no formal decision making powers – instead it is a forum for discussing common issues to improve communication and processes.

A copy of the Terms of Reference and current membership of the Forum are at the bottom of the page.

Meetings of the Forum

The Forum will meet approximately quarterly.
