The service, to give thanks for the Queen’s life and reign, will include formal tributes, music and a minute’s silence.

Councillor Ian Devonshire, Chairman of East Herts Council, said:

“I am deeply moved by the outpouring of tributes and heartfelt thanks expressed by our community in recent days. Friday’s service will give everyone the opportunity to come together, in a shared moment, to commemorate a truly remarkable woman and Queen whose life and legacy will impact for many generations to come.”

The service will start at 1pm, on the paved area by the flagpole outside the council offices: Wallfields, Hertford, SG13 8EQ

Guests will be standing for the service, which will last around 20-30 minutes. Anyone with disability or special access requirements can email esther.piper@eastherts.gov.uk
