Two children feeding the ducks at Southern Country Park
East Herts Council is excited to announce the installation of a new solar-powered, cashless duck food dispenser at Southern Country Park in Bishop’s Stortford. Offering visitors an eco-friendly and convenient way to feed the ducks healthy food to support their diet, whilst maintaining a waste-free environment. The machine has been provided and installed by The Feed Ducks Initiative Ltd, and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Friends of Southern Country Park.

Dig at Castle Park, Bishop's Stortford
Two of the 70 graves unearthed last year during the redevelopment of Castle Park in Bishop’s Stortford, are now known to date back to the 10th century, firmly placing them in the Anglo-Saxon period. This means they predate Waytemore Castle by over 100 years.
