Cllr Eric Buckmaster, Executive Member for Wellbeing at East Herts Council said:
“Investigations into the unforeseen technical issues, within the swimming pool refurbishment works, have been concluded and we are pleased to confirm that works to remedy the pool can now be carried out. Our contractor Cadman have confirmed that works will begin in the next two weeks and we anticipate the pool re-opening by the Spring 2022. Confirmation of the exact opening date will be provided by the end January.
“In the meantime, Everyone Active will continue to offer swimming and swimming lesson bookings at both Fanshawe and Ward Freman swimming pools. You can get in touch by visiting their website, or calling 01920 466967 for Fanshawe or 01763 272566 for Ward Freman.”
